Overview
To apply to become a Science Ambassador Fellow, teachers and educators should follow these steps:
Summer course travel arrangements
Travel to attend summer course in Atlanta, Georgia is arranged and paid by CDC for those eligibleC. Please do not book your own arrangements.
CDC covers the following travel expenses for the course:
- Domestic airfare to and from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
- Per diem for meals and incidental expenses (at the government per diem rate).
- Reimbursement for:
- Hotel stays at a CDC-selected hotel (at the government rate).
- Transportation costs to and from your home and the airport.
- Parking at the airport.
- Transportation to and from the airport and your hotel.
- Up to one checked luggage.
- Hotel stays at a CDC-selected hotel (at the government rate).
- Summer course dates are tentative.
- Summer course attendance is mandatory. Summer course takes place at CDC Headquarters.
- Those with a home address within 50 miles of CDC Headquarters are not eligible.
