Tabby2 Tool

Tabby2 is a user-friendly tool available online for U.S. states and the District of Columbia to estimate future U.S. TB and latent TB infection cases based on a published TB transmission model. The tool also estimates resources needed to eliminate TB, including targeted testing for latent TB infection. Tabby2 provides projections based on state-specific historical trends, in addition to national projections based on national trends.

Tabby2 users can build a custom scenario by state, population, and their assumptions about the testing and treatment care cascade. Users can also select an existing scenario to receive estimates of the cost of programmatic resources for the intervention and the estimated future costs of TB cases averted and the years of life saved from averted TB.

Tabby2 users can:

• Calculate the number and cost of:
  • Latent TB infection tests,

  • Cost effectiveness of interventions compared with baseline scenarios.
• Set informed targets to make a compelling case to further TB elimination.
