This series of reports presents topic-specific prevalence estimates from the 2016/2017 data years of NISVS.
Methodology Report: The survey instrument administered in 2016/2017 represents a change in data collection from previous years (2010–2012 and 2015). This report describes the methodology used for the 2016/2017 data collection and the limitations of the data.
Report on Stalking: This report summarizes the lifetime and 12-month experiences of stalking victims in the United States.
Report on Sexual Violence: This report summarizes the lifetime and 12-month experiences of sexual violence victims in the United States.
Report on Intimate Partner Violence: This report summarizes the lifetime and 12-month experiences of victims of intimate partner violence in the United States.
Report on Victimization by Sexual Identity: This report summarizes the lifetime and 12-month experiences of stalking, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence victimization by sexual identity.
State Report: This report uses the NISVS data from 2016/2017 to produce state-level victimization estimates for stalking, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence.
Data Assessment Report: This report describes the efforts taken to assess the representativeness of the 2016/2017 data and to understand the prevalence estimates.
