I am creating a “single” Project Narrative that includes a section labeled Category A and a section labeled Category B section. Is that correct or do I need two completely separate narratives uploaded in Grants.gov as Part A Narrative and Part B Narrative?
Page 25, #10 CDC requests two separate two narratives labeled Category A & Category B. You may create a single project narrative as you have indicated and make sure you label each section separately for Category A and Category B. Please make sure you provide this information in the table of contents.

Working from the single narrative model, I am confused on what information you do not what repeated (25 pages, single/45 pages, both). Should I provide a background section that is the same for both categories and then under Category A Background detail specific information related to AIDS Directors.
You may provide one Background and refer the reader back to Category A. On page 25, we do specifically state two narratives and both of those should include all include all components. However, either way will not affect your application being considered; but you must adhere to the 45 page limit for both sections and adhere to all other requirements.

Since you are removing 5 pages in the combined application, can we only provide 1 organizational capacity or should we repeat it in both categories.
Yes this would be acceptable. Per page 25, CDC is requesting two narratives and both narratives include all components. Please make sure you adhere to the 45 page limit for both sections and adhere to all other requirements

CVs/Resumes and MOU/MOA’s do not count toward page limit.
