2024 STI Prevention Conference

The 2024 STI Prevention Conference has Arrived!

Dear Partners in Prevention,

Today is the first day of the 2024 STI Prevention Conference. It is also the first time we've come together in person for this conference since 2018, making it, for me, a very special time to join as the new Director for CDC's Division of STD Prevention.

I'm particularly excited to hear about the latest-and-greatest on doxy PEP implementation, since CDC's Guidelines are now available. I'm also looking forward to discussing the current state of syphilis and congenital syphilis and, most importantly, gathering ideas and lessons-learned to help turn the tide on the syphilis epidemic. And, of course, I'm looking forward to catching up with so many of our dedicated prevention partners.

While new to CDC, I am not new to the field of STI prevention and know firsthand the immense opportunities and challenges that we face. The conference not only immerses us in both, but it also sparks ideas, seeds collaboration, and enhances our evolving understanding of sexual health. It is a welcome reminder that we can collectively change things for the better.

Thank you for your commitment to STI prevention.

Best,

/Bradley Stoner/
