Overview
CDC's National Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Public Health Infrastructure and Workforce (Public Health Infrastructure Center) was established with the mission of strengthening the public's health through effective and efficient delivery of public health infrastructure and workforce development. Part of this mission is to promote and protect health in every US community by strengthening state, tribal, local, and territorial public health agencies. This crucial goal can be achieved through meaningful collaboration and partnership with the leaders of the public health system.
The Public Health Infrastructure Center works within CDC and in the field to identify gaps, opportunities for collaboration, and strategies to support and enhance public health work. Navigating CDC and learning about the various forms of assistance available to health officials can be confusing. The following resources can help.
