Effect of Change in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Guidelines on Vendor Participation and Availability of Fresh Produce

The figure consists of 6 maps. Five maps depict locations of SNAP vendors with no fresh fruits and vegetables, SNAP vendors with at least 1 type of fresh fruits and vegetables, and farmers markets for 2003, 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018 in the study community in Albany, New York. Numbers of total SNAP food stores were 77 in 2003, 92 in 2009, 103 in 2012, 115 in 2015, and 109 in 2018. The 6th map is a population density map, and the same study community is further divided into 49 census block groups. These census block groups are based on the 4 population density categories (≥15,000 people per square mile, ≥10,000 but fewer than 15,000 people per square mile, ≥5,000 but fewer than 10,000 people per square mile, and <5,000 people per square mile).
