Three photographs depict health care provider interactions with patients about nicotine addiction. The first photograph shows a provider’s hands writing a prescription for smoking cessation medication, with the caption, “Treatment for nicotine addiction: Meds and counseling double your patient’s success rate.” The second shows a father holding an infant with the caption, “Thanks Doc! I quit smoking because you treated my addiction.” The third shows a provider addressing a patient with the caption, “Smoking is an addiction. Treat it with medicine and brief counseling.”
