PEER REVIEWED
Fifty-four patients were enrolled in the Atlanta VAMC Endocrinology Telehealth Clinic. Thirty-two patients with type 1 diabetes were assessed at baseline, 17 patients at 6-month follow-up, and 9 patients at 12-month follow-up. Twenty-four patients were from the Montgomery, Alabama, VAMC, and 8 patients were from the Columbus, Georgia, VAMC. Twenty-two patients were excluded from this study, because they were treated for other endocrine issues, such as type 2 diabetes.
