Trends in Early Childhood Obesity in a Large Urban School District in the Southwestern United States, 2007–2014

PEER REVIEWED

A total of 54,399 students were identified as enrolled in kindergarten; 7,588 of these students were not measured, leaving 46,811 student measurements. Of these measurements, 561 were excluded for having biologically implausible values, leaving 46,250 valid measurements. Of these measurements, 784 repeated measurements were removed, leaving 45,466 first-time measurements. Of these measurements, data for 2,353 racial minority students were removed, leaving a final analytic sample of 43,113.
