Chronic Disease Surveillance Systems Within the US Associated Pacific Island Jurisdictions
Figure 1 shows 2 primary groupings of potential data sources for chronic
disease surveillance: population-based sources and institution-based
sources. Population-based sources include census data, vital records, and
population health surveys. Institution-based sources include administrative
records,
health service records, and health system records.
