The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced the availability for public comment on the drugs proposed for placement on the NIOSH List of Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings, 2018 (List), as well as the NIOSH Policy and Procedures for Developing the NIOSH List of Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings.

NIOSH carefully considered all of the public comments and peer reviews submitted to this docket and determined that significant, substantial changes should be made to the draft Policy and Procedures, the list of drugs proposed for placement on the List, and also to the organization of the List itself. A new Federal Register notice offering NIOSH’s response to public comments, and updated drafts of the NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings, 2020 and the Procedures for Developing the NIOSH List of Hazardous Drugs in Healthcare Settings are available for public comment at NIOSH-233-C
