Availability of Computerized Health Information Database from World Health Organization, European RegionAs part of the international objectives for health for all by the year 2000 (HFA) (1,2), the World Health Organization, European Region (WHO-Europe) developed 38 specific regional HFA targets for that region (3). They allow rapid retrieval of information by each regional objective, as well as by keywords and subject area. The following databases are currently available: Statistical -- Health for All Indicator Database, Food and Health Indicator Database, and AIDS Surveillance Database; Textual -- Health Legislation Database and Documentation Retrieval Database. All can be accessed through on-line telecommunications. Additional information is available from WHO Regional Office for Europe, 8 Scherfigsvej, DK-2100 Copenhagen, Denmark; telephone 45 39 17 17 17; telex 15 348 who dk; fax 45 31 18 11 20. References
