What to know

Immunization information systems (IIS) are confidential, population-based, computerized databases that record all immunization doses administered by participating providers to persons residing within a given geopolitical area. This information details how to access immunization records for vaccine recipients who received a vaccine in Puerto Rico.

General Information

Puerto Rico's IIS is the Puerto Rico Electronic Immunization System (PREIS), and it includes immunization records for vaccine recipients of all ages. Visit this webpage to learn more about the IIS.

Child Consent to Participate

For children, PREIS requires mandatory inclusion by law. Children are included in the IIS with no possibility for their parent(s)/guardian(s) to opt them out.
