IIS Policies: Nebraska

What to know

Immunization information systems (IIS) are confidential, population-based, computerized databases that record all immunization doses administered by participating providers to persons residing within a given geopolitical area. This information details how to access immunization records for vaccine recipients who received a vaccine in Nebraska.

General Information

Nebraska's IIS is the Nebraska State Immunization Information System (NESIIS), and it includes immunization records for vaccine recipients of all ages. Visit this webpage to learn more about the IIS.

The jurisdiction is authorized by law to operate NESIIS. For more information, please see Nebraska Revised Statutes 71-541.01.

Child Consent to Participate

For children, NESIIS requires implicit consent with opt-out by law. Children are included in the IIS unless their parent(s)/guardian(s) choose to opt them out.
