Dr. Maestro Evans

Dr. Maestro A. Evans works in CDC's Global Health Center (GHC) Office of the Director as the Acting Associate Director for Overseas Misson Support.

CDC role

Dr. Maestro A. Evans works in GHC's Office of the Director as the Acting Associate Director for Overseas Misson Support. In this role, he provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Bureau for Mission Support.

Previous experience

Dr. Evans has also served as the Deputy Country Director in Rwanda, Tanzania, Haiti, and the Associate Director for Management and Operations in Uganda. Throughout his 23-year career at CDC he has served in a variety of leadership capacities.

Dr. Evans has also worked as a mental health clinician in a broad range of social service arenas, i.e., HIV/AIDS, corrections/parole, substance abuse, homelessness, juvenile justice, and foster care/adoptions. Dr. Evans is also an executive leadership coach and pastoral counselor.

Education

Dr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications, as well as Master of Social Work in Health/Mental Health and Doctor of Christian Counseling in Clinical Psychology.
