Dr. Tuthill is currently Division Head of Pathology Informatics at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
Experience
Dr. Tuthill completed pathology residency and informatics fellowship training at the University of Vermont College of Medicine-Fletcher Allen Health Care. He created the department’s Division of Pathology Informatics.
His areas of interest include:
- Digital pathology implementation.
- Internet applications for laboratory services.
- Laboratory information systems.
- Business analytics.
- Electronic health records.
- Informatics training and education.
Active in organized medicine, he has many roles including:
- Advisor to the American Society for Clinical Pathology Annual Meeting Steering Committee.
- Delegate of the Wayne Medical Society.
- Director for the Association for Pathology Informatics (API) Pathology Informatics Summit.
As a charter member of API, Dr. Tuthill has worked from its inception serving as a past President and chairs on numerous committees. Currently, he is Chair of the Program Committee and co-Chair of the Pathology Informatics Planning Committee.
