Dr. Crawford currently serves as Senior Vice President of Laboratory Services for Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, New York. He oversees the integrated laboratories. He is also the Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Hempstead, New York.

Experience

Dr. Crawford is a leading proponent of the role of pathology and the clinical laboratory industry in patient-centered care and value-based care. His area of subspecialty practice is Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology.

Dr. Crawford is a founding member of the Project Santa Fe Foundation and Chair of the Board of Directors. He is a leader in the effort to develop the value statements for laboratory diagnostic services in the next era of health care.

He is also Editor-in-Chief of Academic Pathology, the official journal of the Association of Pathology Chairs (APC).
