- Rapid Evaluations of Telehealth Strategies to Address Hypertension: Read about two rapid evaluations for implementing telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic. These rapid evaluations on two Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)—ARcare Augusta and Terros Health—documented early use of telehealth, resulting outcomes, and how telehealth affected patient's access to care. They used a mixed-methods approach.
Evaluation summaries
CDC identified the Hypertension Management Program as a promising approach for preventing heart disease and stroke. We conducted an evaluation to demonstrate that:
- The program's core components could be implemented effectively in health care settings that serve patients with high rates of hypertension.
- Use of the program could improve hypertension control in this population.
